Bobit Business Media is a leader in b2b media specializing in magazines, events and web sites. In business for over 50 years Bobit remains a family-owned business with 140+ associates.

We are searching for a top-notch editor to join our Bobit team. This mid-level editorial position will increase our East Coast profile within the limousine and chartered transportation industry. Responsibilities range from developing print and digital content to coverage of and speaking at association and industry events. Must adhere to related deadlines while sustaining editorial excellence.

Day-to-Day:

Write multiple monthly and weekly features/articles for print publication and eMediaEdit and proofread content
Conduct interviews and research for articlesWork with departments and other team members to stay on schedule & within budget
Respond to reader requestsAttend and present at industry events/showsEstablish and maintain strong industry relationshipsCoordinate with outside contributors for columns and freelance articlesFrequent regional travel required - including some overnight stays
Other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements:

3+ years writer/editor experience with B2B publication, website, magazine or blogBachelor’s degree preferredLimousine or other transportation or service industry experience a plusSolid investigative journalism and proofing abilitiesProficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and InCopyKnowledge of AP stylePhotography experience a plusBobit offers a positive, rewarding work environment as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
