Documentation Production Specialist

We are working with our client in identifying a Production Specialist to prepare PDF and HTML (online help). The current document production environment consists of Windows XP, FrameMaker 7.2, WebWorks ePublisher, and Acrobat Professional, as well as FTP and link-checking tools.

In this role, you will

Be responsible for the quality of output for content deliverables (PDF, HTML)On time delivery of content in support of product releasesHand-off of source files for localization workflowsLocalization project management including schedules, project tracking, and vendor coordination and vendor supportStart Date: ASAP

Duration: 2-3 months at 20-40 hours per week with some flexibility in hours

Location: Foster City, CA. Local candidates only, 100% on site.

Experience Required:

3+ years of experience in production FrameMaker experienceExperience coordinating files with localization vendors and knowledge of localization workflows and best practicesDemonstrated experience with the mechanics of producing and delivering a variety of content types in a fast paced, high-tech publishing environmentAbility to troubleshoot technical issues with FrameMaker, PDF, HTML (Help) authoring and publishing workflowsMust be detail oriented and organized with the ability to manage requirements and schedules across multiple projectsGood communication skillsAbility to collaborate with writers, program managers, QA, and localization vendorsExperience with Windows XP, WebWorks ePublisher, Acrobat Professional as well as FTP and link-checking tools.To be considered for this project, please send an email to kdowney@clarityconsultants.com with the following:
